About Me
I am Asmi Walia, an Indian who believes in striving for success to achieve the peak level performances. More over, I feel that the sports management field in Humber college is a pathway of development for me and brings the best out of me. My aim is to work for the underprivileged youth and youth with intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, If I get a chance I would like to make my own sports program. What sets me apart is my qualities like problem solving, creativity and leadership.

As part of my commitment to making sports a safer environment, I believe that equipping everyone involved whether athletes, coaches, or staff with basic life-saving skills is essential as I am a CPR certified professional working in the industry to promote the health of young athletes. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is one of those skills I learned during my courses in my fourth semester . Ensuring that sports organizations prioritize CPR training as part of their safety protocols is key to protecting athletes on and off the field. Whether it’s a high school football game or a local soccer match, having trained individuals on-site can provide immediate action in critical moments, which can save lives. It’s important that sports environments don’t just focus on performance but also on preparedness in case of emergencies.
Furthermore, as a Sport Management student with a deep passion for sports, community engagement, and the business side of the sports world. My interest in sport management was sparked when I worked as a volunteer at a local sports event, where I saw first hand how much effort goes into creating seamless and impactful experiences for athletes and fans alike. I’m driven by the idea of making a difference in the sports world through effectively leveraging the dignity for youth with intellectual disabilities, strategic marketing, and ensuring positive outcomes for both athletes and communities.

Moreover, I aspire to work in the sports nutrition field. Moreover, focusing on creating innovative campaigns that engage and excite the athletes for better health which will help them achieve their goals. In the short term, I aim to secure an internship with a professional sports team or event management company to gain hands-on experience. Ultimately, I hope to work in a leadership role where I can combine my strategic thinking and love for sports to influence the development of major sports events globally.
In addition, with my strong background in the sports nutrition field and customer relationship management , and a deep understanding of fan engagement, I believe I can bring a fresh perspective to the sports industry. My goal is to contribute by creating more inclusive and fan-focused experiences, leveraging technology to create innovative marketing campaigns, and using data analytics to improve decision-making in sports management. I believe that digital literacy is an effective communication tool.
